homeless connect - brisbane
Australia’s first Homeless Connect event was held on 1 November,
2006 by the Brisbane City Council.
Since then, Homeless Connect Brisbane has helped over 4,200 people
by coordinating businesses and community groups twice annually,
providing free services to individuals who are:
- homeless
- at risk of homelessness
- without secure accommodation

November 2009
On 4 November 2009, Homeless Connect Brisbane was attended by over 700 disadvantaged individuals and families. Goods and services included:
- medical care
- legal advice
- accommodation
- personal grooming
- clothes
Ongoing support activities are also organised.

With City Hall closed for refurbishment, Homeless Connect Brisbane events will move to the Commerce Building, RNA show grounds, Gregory Terrace. The venue is in walking distance of a range of public transport, including Fortitude Valley train station.
